Nicole M. Minor is an accomplished community leader, Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist, educator, mentor, and program administrator with more than two decades of experience serving individuals, families, students, and communities through higher education, public health, mentoring, outreach, and family support initiatives. As Co-Founder and Vice President of The Minor Consortium Group Foundation (TMCGF), she provides leadership for grief recovery programming, participant engagement, volunteer development, family resilience initiatives, community partnerships, and outreach efforts designed to promote healing, hope, and emotional wellness.

Nicole is certified as an Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist through the Grief Recovery Institute and provides evidence-based grief recovery support to individuals and families experiencing loss, life transitions, trauma, relationship challenges, and other significant emotional events. Through structured one-on-one programs, group support sessions, and educational workshops, she helps participants develop practical tools for processing grief and restoring emotional well-being. She is also a certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator and provides relationship enrichment, premarital preparation, and marriage-strengthening support designed to improve communication, healthy relationships, and family stability.

Prior to her work with TMCGF, Nicole served as Director of Campus and Community Outreach for Tarrant County College District, one of the largest community college systems in North Texas. In this leadership role, she worked directly with community organizations, nonprofit agencies, civic leaders, educational institutions, and public stakeholders to develop partnerships, coordinate outreach initiatives, manage community engagement programs, and strengthen access to services. She additionally provided oversight of activities associated with the Family Empowerment Center, supporting programs and partnerships focused on improving quality of life and reducing barriers to success for students and community members.

Nicole’s professional background also includes service as a Consultant to the Office of the President at Tarrant County College, Adjunct Professor of Computer Science and Information Technology, public health leadership roles with the Texas Department of State Health Services and the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, and leadership positions within professional mentoring organizations. As Vice President of Membership and Lead of The Village Mentoring Program for the Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education (TABPHE), she coordinated mentoring initiatives, leadership development programs, student success efforts, and community engagement activities that strengthened educational outcomes and professional growth opportunities.

Throughout her career, Nicole has demonstrated a consistent commitment to empowering individuals and families through education, mentoring, economic stability initiatives, community partnerships, and supportive services. Her leadership contributed to measurable community outcomes, including significant increases in community partnerships, service utilization, and taxpayer economic impact through community-based financial empowerment programs. Her work generated more than $1.4 million in documented economic benefit for local taxpayers while strengthening access to supportive community resources.

Nicole has received numerous honors and awards recognizing her service and leadership, including the Community Partner Award from the Tarrant County Bar Foundation, the Community Service Award from the L. Clifford Davis Legal Association, recognition from Texas AgriLife Extension Services, the Chancellor’s Quarterly Excellence Award Finalist distinction from Tarrant County College, and multiple awards recognizing her contributions to mentoring, public service, education, and community engagement.

In addition to her work with TMCGF, Nicole serves alongside her husband, Dr. Andre M. Minor, on the Dallas Development Board for Lifeline Chaplaincy, supporting efforts that provide care, encouragement, and resources to individuals and families facing difficult life circumstances. Her leadership philosophy is rooted in compassion, service, collaboration, and the belief that strong relationships, supportive communities, and evidence-based programs can help individuals overcome adversity and build lives marked by resilience, purpose, and hope.
